Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 9, 2026

OBD Master ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use the OBD Master mobile application (the "App") and how we use it.

Information We Collect

  • Vehicle data: diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs), live OBD-II sensor readings, VIN (if you choose to scan it), and inspection sessions you create. This data is processed on your device.
  • App usage: anonymous analytics such as feature usage, crash reports, and device model, used to improve the App.
  • Account info (optional): if you create an account or sync data, we store your email address and encrypted session data.

How We Use Information

  • To provide diagnostic, live data, and pre-purchase inspection features.
  • To improve performance, fix bugs, and add new features.
  • To respond to support requests.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers strictly necessary to operate the App (e.g. crash reporting), and only as required by law.

Bluetooth and Permissions

OBD Master requests Bluetooth and Location permissions only to discover and connect to OBD-II adapters. Location is required by Android for Bluetooth scanning and is never used for tracking.

Data Retention

Vehicle scans and sessions are stored locally on your device. You can delete them at any time from within the App. Account data is retained until you request deletion.

Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Your Rights

You may request access, correction, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us at support@obdmaster.app.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced inside the App.
